Award-Winning, Lay Couple Have Trained, Mentored and Inspired Thousands of Young Latinos and Migrant Workers

Catholic Extension, a national organization devoted to supporting poor Catholic communities, has given its highest annual award to José and Digna R. López of the Diocese of Stockton, a lay couple who, for more than 20 years, have trained, mentored and inspired thousands of Latino youth in the Stockton, Calif. area, deeply affected by both urban and migrant poverty.
