How We Help
Catholic Extension Society is proud to support administrators, teachers, and students through various grants and initiatives. Read on to learn about some of the Catholic school initiatives supported by our donors.
Catholic After-School and Summer Scholars Initiative
Many Catholic families in mission areas can’t afford tuition or may live too far away from a Catholic school. Many dioceses have parishes near public elementary schools. Through this initiative, parishes can provide daily formation through after-school care and/or summer programing for children nearby.
Catholic School Leadership Development
This initiative helps dioceses develop and retain its Catholic school system’s most promising leaders. In partnership with Loyola Marymount University, we offer a graduate-level online certification program in Catholic School Administration program to help novice and prospective leaders make a difference in Catholic schools.
Catholic School Sustainability Initiative
This program provides a four-year, onsite consultation service to help Catholic schools position themselves for long-term viability and vitality. Through this effort, Catholic schools in mission areas can improve their school boards, enhance school image and communications, raise money, manage enrollment, and marketing themselves more effectively.
Latino Enrollment Initiative
Catholic Extension Society has partnered with the University of Notre Dame Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) to offer training to school administrators who want to better attract and serve Latino students.
