Honoring the Light of Christ
Shining examples of our mission

Catholic Extension’s Lumen Christi Award honors an individual or group working in an Extension Diocese who demonstrates how the power of faith can transform lives and communities. Lumen Christi recipients are the hidden heroes in our midst. They bring light and hope to the forgotten corners of our country. In doing so, they inspire those around them to be the “Light of Christ” as well.

The finalists are shining examples of Catholic service and love. This year, we honor 8 diverse individuals from the areas supported by our donors.

Update: Father Ron Foshage, M.S., of the Diocese of Beaumont has been recognized as the 2020-2021 Lumen Christi Award recipient! Read his story.
