2026 Diocesan Fiscal Management Conference

Catholic Extension Society is offering scholarships for your diocesan CFO or Financial Manager to attend the 2026 Diocesan Fiscal Management Conference (DFMC), scheduled for September 27 through 30 in Louisville, KY. Catholic Extension Society will host a luncheon for Extension diocese attendees on Sunday the 27^th. Any recipient of this scholarship is expected to be in attendance, and disbursement of scholarship funds is dependent on attendance. Conference attendees should schedule their travel to be in town and available for the luncheon on Sunday morning. The cost of the additional night in the hotel will be covered in both full and partial scholarships.

Catholic Extension Society will accept a single scholarship application, full or partial, for your diocesan CFO or Financial Manager. Full scholarships include airfare, hotel and conference registration fees. Partial scholarships include conference registration and/or hotel. Dioceses that are able to cover some of the costs are asked to request only a partial scholarship, in order to enable more funding to be available for requests from other dioceses. Meals and any other costs associated with attending this event are the responsibility of the diocese and not covered by Catholic Extension Society.

Scholarship applications must be received by May 29^th to be considered for funding.

Steps for scholarship applicants:

1) Register for the 2026 DFMC online by clicking here once registration opens.  Your scholarship application with Catholic Extension Society does not automatically register you for the conference. You must register separately with DFMC.

2) Book your hotel arrangements for the conference.
3) Book your flight to the conference.  Catholic Extension Society requests that air travel is purchased at the most cost-effective option available and does not reimburse for additional baggage fees, seat upgrades, flight insurance, or additional family member’s travel.  Please plan to arrive in time to attend the Catholic Extension Society luncheon on Sunday.  If you need to travel by any other method than purchasing a flight, please contact us before submitting your application to receive advance approval.  If you are driving to the conference instead of flying, Catholic Extension Society will reimburse the trip $72.5 cents per mile.
4) Download the Catholic Extension Society DFMC Scholarship Calculation Form attached here and fill in the information in the three highlighted yellow boxes. Save the updated file on your computer.
5) Fill out the online scholarship application form from Catholic Extension Society by clicking here. Please be sure to include and attach the completed DFMC scholarship calculation form (from step 4 above), as well as copies of your hotel and travel receipts.  The calculation form and receipts must be attached to your application (on the final page) to receive a scholarship. Catholic Extension Society will only provide reimbursement on confirmed and receipted costs, and not any estimates. You must also include a letter of endorsement from your Bishop.
