Sacred Art Calendar Series

Beautiful pictorial reproductions of scriptural passages and sacred tradition that explain through the artist’s eyes some of the tenets of our Faith. This Catholic Art Calendar is titled "Sacred Art" and represents the latest in our series "Faith Depicted in Fine Art."

Aunque muchas obras de arte religioso fueron creadas durante la época Medieval Europea, algunas de las más bellas y famosas fueron comisionadas durante la época Renacentista. Durante siglos, el arte religioso contribuyó a que las enseñanzas de Jesús fueran accesibles a los analfabetos ilustrándoles eventos como la Asunción y la Anunciación. Además, las imágenes de importantes figuras como María y Jesús hicieron más viable que los católicos pudieran relacionarse con Dios y con su religión.
