Driehaus Challenge
Donors Step Up to Meet the 2011 Driehaus Challenge
For the past two years, Catholic Extension donors have rallied behind the 2010 and 2011 Driehaus Challenge $500,000 grants, which were designed to increase the number of supporters and the gift amounts that donors made.
"The church grounds a community. The church is its soul and spirit." - Richard Driehaus
This year's Driehaus Challenge to Catholic Extension donors was structured to match funds for both new and existing donors who made a first-time gift of $1,000 or more. Additionally, current Socius Circle members who increased their level of giving would be entitled to a $1,000 match. The challenge was capped to the first 500 participants. This generous and exciting challenge literally offered donors a way to double the impact of their gift - and double the difference they make in supporting under-resourced Catholic communities across the United States.
On behalf of all those who will reap the benefits from this unprecedented show of support, we offer our heart-felt thanks.
Requests for help continue to arrive at Catholic Extension every day, and we invite you to consider a gift - and join the Socius Circle before year's end to help us meet these ongoing needs.
